In an ancient town in the western part of Hunan Province, China, the local women hand sew intricate patterns into white cotton cloth which is later hand dyed with locally grown Indigo blue due. This shibori (or tie-dye) cloth is then sewn into the fine array of products in the Morning Star Shibori Collection. Each handmade bag or accessory is unique and reflects the careful assembling of these patterns by the Miao women in our small home factory setting. |
